Gail Hallock Cyr, AIA, NCARB
Owner and Principal

Born into the practice of architecture, Gail started working for her architect father, the late Terry Hallock of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, when she was 16 to pay for a new bike; and then she stayed on. After graduation from RI School of Design with a BFA and Bachelor of Architecture, Gail & her father opened a branch office of Hallock Architects in Warren RI in 1983. A few years later the firm moved to Wickford and added clients from the west side of the bay. When Terry retired, Gail opened her own firm, Gail Hallock Architect, Inc. and as the business continued to grow it moved in 2015 to a beautiful new office in historic Lafayette Mill.

Gail enjoys working with families to realize their dreams for their new houses and additions.  Historic and regional vernacular architecture is an inspiration, as is the travel Gail does worldwide. Modern, cottage style, and vernacular design become blended to fit attractively into the New England landscape and provide open, light filled and beautiful homes for our clients.

    • Fergus
FergusChief Client Relations Officer and Office Manager

Fergus is the newest member of our office, and is growing rapidly into his position here. His charming disposition has become a great asset. His design skills are improving, but as he has still to finish his education, the more elegant dog house designs will have to wait. While he spends quite a lot of time sleeping on the job, his favorite aspect of the job is meeting our clients and making them feel welcome. Always ready for a ball toss or a treat, he has fit in easily with the rest of the team.

          Corey GavazaArchiCAD Draftsman

Corey is a native Rhode Islander whose family relocated to Connecticut when he was in middle school. He is happy to be back in Little Rhody because he enjoys everything about Rhode Island, especially Block Island, Del’s Lemonade and NY System wieners.

His facility with ArchiCAD and his combined knowledge of building and landscape design make him a valuable asset to our team.

He attended the University of Connecticut with a major in landscape architecture and a focus on building architecture. He intends to continue on to a degree in architecture in the future.

“My clients are an important part of the design process, as they often have fabulous ideas which we use to create a house that they love, are proud of and will live happily in. It is very important to me that my clients feel that our collaboration results in the house they dreamed of building.” - Gail
